What is it?

Stillpoint Yoga Brixton has been created as a side project to our ongoing Ashtanga yoga morning classes in London Bridge. A space for SYL to host our highly inspiring workshops and events, we also support local community events,  yoga classes run by local teachers and we also hire the space for yoga workshops/events.

How it works?

Stillpoint Yoga Brixton works separately to our London Bridge shala, all the classes are either booked through the teacher directly or paid for at the beginning of the class.
The space is also available to hire for your classes or events. Get in touch below for availability or classes.

Regular classes

 

Mondays

7:30am – 8:30am: Morning Flow with Andrea Castillo.  £10 drop in/£45 x 5 classes.  Start your week with mindful movement.  Breath, asana and meditation taught in an accessible way.  Open all levels, contact: andreac.yoga for details and booking.

Tuesdays

9:30am – 10:30am:   Mindful Flow with Karen: A class of mindful movement through an asana sequence, with an emphasis on breath that encourages self awareness of the mind-body connection in your yoga practice.  Suitable for experienced, beginners and intermediate. £10 drop-in, £45 for 5 class pass. Workshops and events:

 

Sunday 10th March – BioDynamic Breathwork Workshop 1-4pm – engaging breath, movement, sound, touch/bodywork, meditation and conscious emotional release.  Bringing our bodies back through deep connected breath to its natural state and balance which has been interrupted by stress or traumatic events resulting in feeling unwell, disconnected, lacking energy etc. For information, booking details and any questions please contact: miriam@breathwork.com  Price: £35

Saturday 16th March – 20th April 2019 – Beginners Yoga – 6 week course. 9:30-10:30am (except 13th April 8:30-9:30am) Building a strong foundation to begin or improve your practice.  This course aims to give you the confidence and knowledge to reap the benefits and enjoy yoga.  A fun and informative course focusing on creating core stability and awareness with time to work on alignment and techniques of individual poses and the sun salutation sequence.  Cost will be £75 if paid in full on the first day or £70 if booked and paid in advance by 13th March.  Contact Karen at evolutionyogauk@gmail.com for details and booking.

Sunday 24th March – Yoga Evolved Festival 10am-6pm – A full day of Yoga, inspiring talks and high quality vegan food along with a friendly inclusive vibe.  T1ere will be five full classes all taught by specialists in each style: Mandala, Vinyasa, Gin Yin, Yogasana & Inversions.  Booking and further info is available hereyogaevolved.co.uk

Pain Free Movement Training:  

Module: Releasing muscle and joint tension. These are regular training sessions exploring how to maximise muscle and joint release and come away with a feeling like the body is like chewing gum.  Guaranteed to help you make shifts in your flexibility and release persistent pain patterns.  This is a closed event as part of a group training but if you are curious about what it could do for you then please contact Graham – Clinical director of Broken Yogi solutions and Pain free movement practice.
