A yoga, mindfulness and community event space in the heart of south London
What is it?
Stillpoint Yoga Brixton has been created as a side project to our ongoing Ashtanga yoga morning classes in London Bridge. A space for SYL to host our highly inspiring workshops and events, we also support local community events, yoga classes run by local teachers and we also hire the space for yoga workshops/events.
How it works?
Stillpoint Yoga Brixton works separately to our London Bridge shala, all the classes are either booked through the teacher directly or paid for at the beginning of the class.
The space is also available to hire for your classes or events. Get in touch below for availability or classes.
Stillpoint Yoga Brixton Schedule
** New for February 2020 – 7:30am-8:30am: – Begin the week with Alice’s dynamic vinyasa class. Working to develop strength, flexibility and a sense of wellbeing. Classes are ‘open’ level with plenty to challenge those with a more advanced practice. £10 per class or £45 for 5 sessions. ** New for February 2020 – 8-9pm:- Beginners Pilates with Jasmine – A body toning and aligning class for beginners and mixed ability clients. Perfect for realigning the body after a long day at the office! £10 per class. 9:30am – 10:30am: Mindful Flow with Karen: A class of mindful movement through an asana sequence, with an emphasis on breath that encourages self awareness of the mind-body connection in your yoga practice. 7:00pm – 8:30pm: Power Yoga with Nikki. An invigorating Vinyasa Flow class working through a series of sun salutations intertwined with standing postures before slowing down to develop breath and body awareness. £10 per class, bookable with brixtonyoga.co.uk

8pm – 9pm: – Mindful Yoga with Lisa – A gentle Hatha yoga class to gradually build strength and flexibility while cultivating peace and ease through awareness of your breath, body and mind. 7pm – 8pm: Yoga with India – Intermediate vinyasa-style focusing on opening and stretching specific parts or areas of the body each class. Combining a mixture of sun salutations, standing postures, arm balances, backbends and inversions. 9:15am – 10:30am: Friday Yoga & Meditation with Jacqui. A mix of flowing movements and slow stretches, set to music to get you in the zone! Options given for all bodies and all ages, whether you’re new to yoga or a regular. Ending with meditation (suitable whether you already meditate or have never tried) opening up the real heart of yoga to you. £12 or £36 for four. Drop-in – no booking necessary. 7pm-8pm: – Hatha Flow with Lorna from Komorebi Yoga. Start your weekend off by reconnecting to your breath and flowing through a series of mindful sequences and asana. **New Evening Class** Three Sundays per month (starting 27th October), Anita will be bringing Forrest Yoga to Acre Lane. 6pm-7:15pm this is an open level class – everyone is welcome. Suitable for all levels from beginners to more experienced practitioners. Pain Free Movement Training:
Module: Releasing muscle and joint tension. These are regular training sessions exploring how to maximise muscle and joint release and come away with a feeling like the body is like chewing gum. Guaranteed to help you make shifts in your flexibility and release persistent pain patterns.
