Join us for a full and inspiring week of yoga practice and connection as the SYL team lead early morning Ashtanga yoga classes, mindfulness sessions, breathing techniques and chanting sessions throughout the week.
You can sign up on any day and get going!
Schedule
Our online beginners yoga classes start from 06:30 – 07:30, Monday to Friday and from 07.30 – 08:30 on Saturday.
Join our yoga beginner teachers Scott Arnott and Emma Burdon for early morning themed beginners classes where you will learn the fundamental elements of a safe and long term yoga practice. You can join for as few or as many classes as you like.
There are also bonus evening sessions throughout the week in The Still Space. Join us for mindfulness, a Monday philosophy lecture and a Friday restorative class.

7:30pm – 8:00pm: The Still Space: ‘Understanding the Yoga Sutra’ philosophy presentation through autumn and winter with Scott Johnson
8:00pm – 8:30pm: The Still Space: Mindfulness and compassion sitting practice

Wednesday

8pm – 8:30pm: The Still Space: Mindfulness and compassion sitting practice.
Thursday

7pm – 8pm: The Still Space: Restorative yoga with Narmin Mohammadi to help unwind mind and body. You can use sofas, cushions, blankets and eye masks to help aid your relaxation.

Your beginner yoga and mindfulness teachers

Scott Arnott
Beginner Foundation Yoga Teacher
Since 2016 Scott has dedicated himself to a daily practice of Ashtanga yoga at Stillpoint. He’s undertaken Ashtanga yoga based training with Scott Johnson and studied with John Scott, Manju Jois, Kia Naddermier and other great teachers. In 2020 he undertook a yoga teacher training with Simon Borg-Olivier. Scott is a RYT200 certified teacher with Yoga Alliance.

Emma Burdon
Beginner Foundation Yoga Teacher
Emma is an Ashtanga vinyasa teacher and practitioner with over eight years of yoga practise. She has trained closely with Scott Johnson and the Amāyu collective of progressive Ashtanga yoga teachers, and her engaging classes are inspired by her own daily self-practise. Emma is an RYT200 with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Scott Johnson
Mindfulness Teacher
Scott is director of Stillpoint and is also registered as a senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. He has also undergone extensive training with Clear Mind Institute, gaining their level 1, 2 &3 certificate in Mindfulness and Compassion.
