Michael Stone Asana

The Inner Tradition of Yoga:How Practice Works.

Michael Stone

Evening Lecture (2 hours) Tuesday 28 May, 19:00 – 21:00

Michael will talk about the psychology of yoga postures, the movement
of practice into social action, and how meditative insight flourishes
in everyday life.If you want to know how spiritual practice comes alive in the body,
mind and culture, this talk will make you think about art, ecology and
spirituality in creative new ways.

Morning workshop (3 Hours) Wednesday 29 May 09:30 – 12:30

Slowing down sun salutations, standing postures and basic
inversions, we will study bandhas (internal bonds), how asana is
actually a pranayama practice, and how anatomy and psychology dovetail
so that postures come alive from the inside-out.

This will be a great opportunity to deepen postures through subtle
breathing, physiological precision, and the right attitude!
